What is this inhuman action at Fla.

Welp, basically, that’s Florida for you. I’ve always loved the animated gif of Bugs Bunny sawing it loose. 😛

Okay, I’m being a little mean-spirited, but dang, Florida sure does ask for it a whole lot!

What I call Sewer Slide, is where a person falls into depression, or dispair, or other reason, it is very wrong to take one’s life. countless Near Death Experiences I have read since the 1980’s have shown how God can get quite upset at these people, for throwing away God’s gift of Life. The fortunate ones come back from their NDE’s.

The greatest thing in this life above all other things, is to learn Unconditional Love of all people and of GOD. Helping people out of depression, and to learn to Love each other.

God may have gotten very upset at this person doing this in front of many, which in itself was a bad thing to do on webcam.

I may have only scratched the surface here, but from studying NDE’s for so long, I know that life is very precious.

My roommate (and best friend) is heartbroken over this incident. The young man who killed himself was very involved in a program that my roommate started between our middle school and Broward Community College. Every Friday, our teachers and over 100 8th graders took the middle school curriculum and brought it to the college. The college provided equipment, classroom space and tutors to help the kids excel and to be able to think about life beyond middle or high school.
Abe was one of our college student/tutors. He loved working with our 8th graders last year and was very much looking forward to working with the new 8th graders this school year. According to his supervisor at the school, this program was one of the few things that helped keep him going. When it looked as though our students would not be able to go to Broward Community College this year due to budget cuts and red tape, Abe fell into despair.
Ironically, our students made their first trip to BCC yesterday.
Abe’s family is in my prayers, as well as those of the students and faculty whose lives he enriched.

Ridiculous comment, as the video was on the web, which is worldwide. You are not being a little mean-spirited, you are being outright insensitive.
 
You are very right, and I am truly contrite.

But I do suffer from some “Florida Burnout” (since so many awful and inhuman stories just flood from there in a never-ending stream, it seems - and I’m from Indiana, so I don’t have much room to talk, but even so - Florida! Augh!) so perhaps that may lessen my chastisement just a bit?

My true apologies, for my behavior, and my sorrow over this incident and those it has hurt.

From here in Alabama, Florida has a ways to go to catch California
 
Hey now, even though I lived in IN before I moved up here to Canada Jr (Metro Detroit), I’m really Northern Californian (although I have lived all over the US, the largest chunk of time - two completely separate large chunks, in fact, were in NorCal, and yeah, I still say ‘hella’) It was pretty great, too!

And most of us refer to Florida as “Southern Alabama” pretty often back here in Civilization. 😉 But cool, let’s not even go there, dude. 😃

Only part of Florida is of a high enough level of sophisitication to truly be Alabama Jr. The rest is pure Yankee land and God’s waiting room.
