What is truth? I would like to hear everyone’s opinion on the matter

Jesus is The Truth, along with The Way and the Life, per John 14:6.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Matthew 22: 36 “Teacher,* which commandment in the law is the greatest?”
37 He said to him, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38 This is the greatest and the first commandment.
39 The second is like it:* You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

So, JESUS IS THE TRUTH. And Jesus said the whole law depends on the 2 great commandments of LOVE.

Thus, to know the Truth, we need to know Jesus Christ as best we can. And we need to know the proper way to LOVE in every situation we encounter.

Truth is set of statements that explains reality, such as there is a God or there isn’t any God, there is no mind but experience etc. It is hard to summarize them in a post.

Objectively, the Truth is Christ Jesus.

Philosophically, the Truth is the sum total of all things/concepts which are.

Nice to see the caps lock used to great effect in the thread so far.

‘Beauty is truth, truth beauty,’—that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.

All the most precious aspects of reality - truth, goodness, freedom, justice, beauty and love - converge in God, the Source of life and perfection.

👍 They certainly don’t converge in Nogod!

Do they or persons exist at all in the atheists’ scheme of things, Charlie? 😉
Dictionaries restrict their definition to “human being” whereas wikipedia is more adequate and enlightening:
A person is a being, such as a human, that has certain capacities or attributes such as reason, morality, consciousness or self-consciousness, and being a part of a culturally established form of social relations such as kinship, ownership of property, or legal responsibility.

It must be distasteful for an atheist to see intangible aspects of reality regarded as valuable and significant rather than just human conventions…
