What is worship to you?

Opps, sorry…I can’t always tell who m/f…No, I trust my faith in Christ like everyone else…Never saw the comment as unloving…It just caught me that something was being implied and I commented on it…I just ask a lot of questions and comment on responses…I don’t intentionally want to be rude, haughty or unloving by them…I apologize if by commenting you felt I was unloving as I never meant to be…K
 
I feel it is all of the above, but to further, I think it is to give all of myself to His will and not my own. Although, I know I have fallen very short.
 
The point was to discuss what worship is, not who is doing a better job, and spreading divisiveness, which is a trick of the devil, which some of us so effortlessly slipped into, for all our pious posturing.

Would it be easier if we clarified what is not worship?

I’d say surfing You Tube for bathroom jokes, and watching MTV are not forms of worship.

I may be way off base but I don’t see any of the items have anything to do with true worship.

they be lead us to worship, or they are the result of worship but in themselves alone they are not worship.

Jesus said to the woman at the well something aobout worshipping in spirit and in truth.

us humans seem to have a hard time dealling with the untanglable so we create something tangable to help us deal with it and understand it.

Don’t get me wrong these are all neccessary and good things to do.

I love what David said in psalms 51:

Ps 51:16 For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
Ps 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had witness …

True worship is all about the heart and nothing but the heart…

without the right heart… everything mentioned in the survey is done in vein…and counts for nothing…

that’s my $.02… what ever it’s worth…
