What Kind of Music Can I Listen To?

Hello all. I was wondering about something today. ( I hope I am putting this in the right forum.) I like to listen to a lot of pop music, and a little bit of country music. My question is that are there any pop artists that I, a Catholic, should try to avoid? I like some of Katy Perry’s songs, but maybe I should not be listening to her. She is not the only one that I listen to though. I also like to listen to a little bit of Luke Bryan.

In the past, I did not really used to think about lyrics, but now I do, and I do not want to be sinning by listening to bad music. What are your thoughts? Thanks everyone!
 
It won’t be easy to find particular artists that are clean. I won’t know of any since I only usually buy a song or two from the same artist. I just look at the lyrics of the particular song. If it is too immoral/profane, I don’t buy it. So, perhaps it would be easier to ask for the titles of good pop songs. I would recommend some, but, I’m more a rock person.

Good for you for looking into this! 👍 Personally, I avoid anything that conveys the messages I don’t agree with. I used to be a bug punk rock fan, but I found listening to that lkind of music put me in a bad frame of mind. Have you ever checked out Christian pop/rock there are LOTS of bands! My personal favorite is Hillsong as the music sounds like something you’d hear off of a pop/rock album but it is all religious! In terms of more secular music, I know a lot f Ed Sheeran’s songs are completely clean.
