When you find the word “Christian” in official documents of the Church, (example The Book of Christian Prayer) it is normally referring only to Catholics in communion with Rome.

But we also speak about non-Catholic Christians when we are speaking about ecumenical issues - so, it can certainly be confusing, at times.
