What must every Baptized & Confirmed Catholic know?

What are the things that every Catholic should know by heart?
 
As far as I know, there are no “requirements” for what every Catholic should know.

It would help if Catholics knew their catechism, the tenets of the faith and the common prayers of the Mass and the rosary. None of this though, is a “requirement”

In the Eastern rites, infants are given all 3 Sacraments of Initiation. Last I knew, no infant has any “knowledge of the faith”, but they are still Catholic.

I am curious as to why you ask?
 
I feel I have an obligation to know certain teachings of the faith. I think every Catholic should know Ten Commandments for example.
 
With all due respect, John, what you feel you should do, and what others should do, are two different things. The minute someone tries to make such a list, for application to everyone, someone else will decide that others are in mortal sin for not doing everything on it - that, or the list becomes a source of undue pride, i.e., look how long MY list is!

Personally I think the list should be limited to love God and love your neighbor as yourself.

The Catechism would also be a good place to start.
A dose of humility could also not hurt. When entering the secular world outside of our faith, we’re going to encounter non-believers, awkward people, hostile people, truly clueless people and inquisitive people.
One can be uber knowledgeable, but if one does not proceed with love, peace, and humility, there’s bound to be huge arguments. Which doesn’t advance Christianity or Catholicism at all.
Focus on being holy. People will see that, and be inspired. Good luck in college!
