In your religion what is it that I must do to be saved? And what would your religion call that? In short, from your POV what do I, as a human, need to do in this life, or what do I need to believe in order to get the best outcome after death? And what is that called: salvation, satori, enlightenment…

This isn’t an invite for proselytizing, but rather an invite to offer a straightforward or step-by-step description of what you would say to an individual asking that question. I would be interested in reading your individual perspectives even if you are a fellow Christian, protestant, etc…
I think Peter gives the definative answer for an adult, to be set on the road to salvation, in Acts2.

Acts2:37 Now When they Heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, AND to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, save yourselves from the untoward generation. 41 then they that gladly Received his word were Baptized: and the same day were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued stedfastly in the Apostles Doctrine and Fellowship, and in Breaking of Bread (Mass), and in Prayers.]

First by God’s grace we hear the Word, we believe by God’s grace, we repent by God’s grace, we are baptized to remit our sins AND receive the Holy Spirit BORN AGAIN and added to the Body of Christ the Church, by God’s grace, we do good works by God’s grace. This is how we are set on the road to salvation. We have been saved, we are saved, we shall be saved if we endure to the end. Salvation is a life time process not a one time event. Romans13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

I have told my young Catechism class, if you Love Jesus you are saved.

To love Him means to keep His commandments.
Love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul…

Believe
Repent
Be Baptized (or desire to)
Receive His Communion in good conscience
Do unto others as you would have done to you.

However, there are different degrees of awareness of the Gospel. God is Just. He knows our hearts.

In general, I would say, we must acknowledge our creator, recognize our complete dependence on Him for deliverance of our condition Recognize, believe and obey His voice and acknowledge our faults to Him and our brother. Do to others as we would have done to us.

To love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and all thy soul and all thy strength. And thy neighbor as thyself - that is salvation, that is spiritual life, that is the kingdom of heaven.

Some really wonderful insights posted already:
Our goal is to be able to say with Saint Paul: “It is not I, but Christ who is within me.”
Yes!
Now this sounds rather difficult, because there are so many things in this world to look at, so many experiences and so many people and things to love. I follows that it must be awfully hard to think only of God, but I think it’s very possible when we do our best to see God in all things, all beings and all people. When we see this, then we see God all the time and we thereby think of God all the time, and this will be where your heart will be, and God will be what attends you when you leave the world of the incarnate.
Perfect!

My religion teaches that in order to become Enlightened and free from the endless cycle of rebirth called Samsara, you must meditate frequently and accumulate good karma by way of the Eightfold Path.

Why have we resurrected this old thread from last year? Is the OP still around? Maybe she is already enlightened by now?

Im sure you are right, though.

All you must do to reach liberation is realize the essential oneness you have with God and transcend Maya.

Since you ask for POV of other religions:

The good news is that almost everyone will eventually be saved - so there is no such thing as eternal damnation. If you have committed many grievous sins, it just means you spend a longer/worse time in hell between lives, but you will be reborn again and given another chance.

The bad news is that it takes many lifetimes to achieve this liberation from the cycle of birth and death and get to eternal union with God. So just repenting your sins and asking for absolution does not get you into heaven for eternity. The process takes many, many lifetimes and involves purification of the Self (physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually) and detachment from all worldly attractions.
