Ok. So I’m not religious but I have done some reading. I have come to the conclusion that there is a intelligent being who created the world. Thus he/she/it must have revealed himself to us. I know I am in wrong relation with the god of the world. What must I do to be “saved” (Christian lingo). I know I have done wrong this, so what must I do to be accepted by god?

Sorry for this question that is obvious to you…I just want to know

Thanks

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they asked Peter and the other apostles, “What are we to do, my brothers?” 38Peter [said] to them, “Repent and be baptized,* every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit.

Find the closest Catholic Church, call and they will guide you.

Peace

You might appreciate St. Thomas Aquinas. His most famous work, the Summa Theologiae (sometimes called “Summa Theologica”) might seem difficult reading at first, especially since the style of writing is so different from nowadays, but if you look into his writings you may find some things that help you.

God taught us that we are to love God and love our neighbour.

Matthew 22:36-40
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

If we manage to really, truly love God and love one another ( our neighbour) then we may strive to attain heaven

They are truly hard to achieve but we keep trying and that is all we can do…try our best.
This is how we strive to live our lives by these two commandments.

By the way God already accepts you and loves you. He wants you to know Him and follow Him. You may not know Him yet but He already knows you.We are all Gods children .

Welcome to CAF and God bless you

Thanks for asking!

Truth like God Himself is ONE

Because God IS One; God can only hold One set of Faith beliefs [NOT the incomprehensible number that Protestants express

So here are the basics; fully supported by the Bible itself. Unchanged in message and conditions for nearly 2, 000 years now.

The Minimum requirements are:

To Know God [acknowledge God as God and Savior]
Then to Know; Love; serve and Obey Him

To receive a Christian Baptism

To die “in the state of God’s grace” [without unconfessed and unforgiven “motal sins”]

Because Of God’s Love; Mercy and Divine Justice sins have 2 catagories. Less and more serious

Obey God’s Commandments; and mandates [ALL of them]

To be associated with the ONLY Church and Set of Faith Beliefs God Himself ordianed: todays Catholic Church.

That’s the minimum:thumbsup:

I can provide MUCH more information and evidence of these claims:)

God Bless you and thanks for asking

I wouldn’t start him off with the Summa. Maybe the Compendium of the Catechism.

Ziggabite, to go to heaven we must be like God (in certain respects), and be his friends.

The main ways we must be like God are in having divine life in our souls, called grace; and in loving with a supernatural love called charity. We get these things in baptism (and in the other sacraments).

Being God’s friends entails a number of things, mainly persevering in grace and charity; loving God above all things, and our fellow man as ourselves. Charity is tied to other virtues like faith and hope.

Faith means believing everything God reveals, which includes the divinity of Jesus Christ, the divine institution of the Church, and all the Church teaches as divinely revealed.

If we do something that kills charity in our soul (say, entertaining murderous thoughts about someone), we lose God’s grace and must be reconciled to him to recover it.

That should get you started. Feel free to ask questions.

each church domination has it’s religious program – and system-- of how to enter into covenant–

find out what group has the Holy Spirit – because as saint paul says

youtube.com/watch?v=2OCOpL0IZbQ&feature=share&list=PL266633C232C56C0D

I Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers WILL NOT inherit or have any share in the Kingdom of God?

there are many groups that have no real presence of the Holy Spirit

Now the Roman Catholic church has the best ceremonies

so try to find where people are really getting healed and delivered –

Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foul-mouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the Kingdom of God.

First you must know the truth about God, you must know in whom you believe. There is more than just an intelligent being that created the world, you must understand and believe that that God came down fully man and full God and his name is Jesus. “There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 Maybe you could start with the gospel of John. It’s the fourth book in the New Testament. Do you have a Bible?
