I must admit to having some difficulty in understanding “our side” of this argument.

I believe that practicing homosexuality is a sin. Let me be clear. But should we try to legislate morality?

Also, I believe that sex outside of marriage is a sin. Would you favor a law against unmarried persons having sex? Should hotels not be allowed to rent a room to an unmarried couple?

NY used to have adultery, sodomy, statutory rape and pornography laws prohibiting these very things. And all this was not too long ago. Its not so hard to believe we actually lived in a world that didn’t encourage sin at one time.

We regulate morality all the time. Most of our laws are based on some sort of morals.

You won’t find this type of candid footage on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC or even Fox News
Maybe the TFP folks need to stand in front of the CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX studios with their signs.

That flippant phrase, “can’t legislate morality” is a way to toss a hood over reality.

All laws have a moral basis, can be judged on moral grounds, and a great many ARE efforts to legislate morality. Just look at law and laws and reflect. . .

Agree, therefore your voice counts as much as anyone elses so let your voice be heard. If you don’t you are letting someone else decide.
