What opinion does the Catholic Church have about rock music?

I had read an article in a Catholic magazine (Charisindia). It was about rock music and the priest had said in the article that, “Just as there is no such thing as Chritian adultery, or as Christian pornography, there is no such thing as Christian rock.” (I don’t remember the exact sentence, but it was similar to this). He said that rock music had its origins in voodoo (which is Satanic) and therefore it cannot be used in Christian services.

However, I just wanted a confirmation from you regarding this.

Also, I am a guitarist. Is it okay for me to play guitar at Mass? Is it okay to play the drumset at Mass? Has the Catholic Church got any rules regarding this?
