I’m assuming he means “cloistered”, though men’s abbeys do not for the most part have the Papal Enclosure, which Benedictine nuns do have (but not Benedictine sisters).
There are several Benedictine abbeys of the Solesmes Congregation that celebrate the EF Mass; only one in N. America though, and that’s Clear Creek. The others are in France.
Others use the OF Mass, but celebrated in Latin or Latin/Vernacular hybrid with Gregorian chant (propers and Ordinary), like at our abbey in Canada, which also celebrates Lauds and Vespers in Latin Gregorian chant.
I second what Fauken says, the charism and lifestyle of the order is of prime importance above the form of the Mass. Not only will you spend a lifetime with this community, the community actually gets to vote to allow you past simple and solemn profession. If one is there for the wrong reasons, one will get weeded out very quickly.
If one wants complete “isolation” as “hermit”, then the Carthusians are pretty much the only choice which does celebrate some Office and the Mass in community and share their Sunday meal together. They have their own Mass, not yet approved by the Vatican (post V-II). There are also Camaldolese Benedictines that are a hybrid of hermit and community living.
