My intellect is ordered toward truth.
My will is ordered toward good.
What part of me is ordered toward beauty?
 
Both your intellect and your will are ordered towards Beauty.

I think it can safely be said that God is truth, beauty, and goodness itself. So when we seek to know God, we come to love Him, and in loving Him, we desire to serve Him.

There is a natural movement of both the intellect and the will towards beauty of some sort. It seems a common pitfall of man to tarry while taking in various manifestations of beauty in that which is created and not apprehending or seeking that beauty which is of a higher order, the creator.

But not all beauty is visual, beauty can be found in the sonic, tactile and nasal realms among others.

And that’s just within the limits of our human-bodied sensorium.

I don’t understand the question.

What do you mean by beauty? Physical beauty? As in, if intellect leads one to truth, and will leads one to good, “X” leads one to beauty?
 
God is the good, the true and the beautiful.
God does not have anything. He is good true beautiful

So what part of me body, soul, spirit, intellect, will or _? is oriented toward beauty itself?

Define beauty.
 
I’d say your soul, the part of us made in God’s image. But does it really matter?:confused:
 
What is good is beautiful, as is what is true, a light shining in the darkness filling all that is, joyously alive. The beauty in us seeks the Fount from which it springs.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But right now its that cake, I cannot get my mind off of it.
 
I would say the body and soul, including the intellect and will. Beauty is that which is inspirational. A magestic mountain scene inspires and awes. Art can also be inspirational. You need your body to recognize such beauty. But, even a mathematical Formula can be beautiful. Or an intelligent system, philosophy or theory. An inspiring story of heroics is beautiful. Someone sacrificing themself to save another is a kind of beautiful love that inspires.
