just for fun, if you have pets, what kinds?
in my lifetime so far, I’ve had two rabbits, a bird and thre dogs, tried to adopt two cats but that didn’t work out
Hi angell1,
It’s so great to see you posting! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
You’ve been in my thoughts, so it’s nice to see you here.
We’ve always had a cat in my home when I was growing up…
When I was really little, we still had my Mom’s kitty in our home from when she was a little girl. I think that kitty lived to be around 14 or so.
When my husband and I got married, we started to get kitties in pairs of twos so that they would be company for each other. Those kitties lived to be 16 and 17 years old.
The most recent kitty that we had just passed away at the end of January of this year.
She was the second kitty out of the second pair of kitties that we had.
Her house mate died back in the Summer of 2011. He was almost 12 years old. The Vets in the group that we took both of them to think that he might have had either some kind of a brain tumor or cancer when he passed. He passed away in the middle of running tests on him.
Our old girl kitty was about 21 years old when she passed away in January. She had a hyperthyroid and had other complications from it, including kidney issues.
Editing my post to add that I forgot about my fish, too!
I had gold fish off and on too, while living at home.
When I was a child, I had a fancy gold fish for a long time. After it died, I didn’t have any fish for awhile until I won a fish at a carnival, and then my Dad helped me set up a fish bowl for it again.
My Dad bought some other fish for it, so that there were other fish in the bowl, too.
I had fish again for awhile until those fish died. They lived several years.
I was without fish again until several years later when my maternal Gramma decided to get some more gold fish for me.
Those didn’t live too long, and that was the last time that I had fish.
