Many altar boys (in my country) want to become a priest. So if you were given the chance to become one, what congregation would you choose?

Mine would be Diocession

Edit: I forgot to add FSSP on my list

Either that of my particular diocese, or the FSSP, or the Dominicans

I’m a girl, but if I was a man and felt called I probably would’ve joined the Carmelite Friars

If I could, then either the Dominicans, or FSSP. Maybe the ICKSP, but I don’t know enough about them to be sure.

I’m not a man,but if I was the Franciscans would have been my choice.

What about the Marians of the Immaculate Conception? They spread devotion to Mary and the Divine Mercy. I don’t know that much about them though.

Well, I’m live in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, so diocesan priest would be pretty high on my list because we have a great seminary (St. Charles Borromeo Seminary).

But if I joined a religious order, I think it would be one of the following:
  1. Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception (Fr. Michael Gailtey’s order - http://www.marian.org)
  2. Canons Regular of Saint John Cantius (http://www.canons-regular.org - they are dedicated to the Latin Mass in both the EF and OF, as well as doing the mass beautifully in the vernacular in the OF)
1 and 2 are tied for my first choice, the rest are in no particular order
  1. Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word (the friars at EWTN - https://franciscanmissionaries.com)
  2. Institute of the Incarnate Word (http://www.ive.org)
  3. Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy (The Mercedarians - http://orderofmercy.org)
EDIT - I’m adding two that I forgot
  1. Benedictines at St. Bernard Abbey https://stbernardabbey.com/
  2. Carmelie Monks in Wyoming (same ones who make Mystic Monk Coffee - http://www.carmelitemonks.org/)
But who knows, I’m sure there are others I would be very interested in too.
God Bless

Most likely I would be a secular priest but if not then FSSP or ICKSP

Diocesan. For sure. They get a salary. And they don’t take a vow of poverty
