What proof would you give to an atheist that Catholics can believe in Evolution/the big bang?

The big Bang: Fits perfectly into the notion that God created the Universe at a time of his choosing in the past. Most cosmologists agree that the origin of the Universe is outside of matter; energy; space and time. That only leaves abstract things like a mind or laws. Laws don’t create anything so an intelligent agent is the only thing really left to choose. The fact that the Universe is so finely tuned adds weight to the theory of Intelligent design by our creator. Macro evolution: I suspect that God can make life happen any way he chooses, whether it be by evolution or creation. There are a lot of problems with the (macro) evolution theory or the Darwinian model and there are problems also explaining how life began. People who don’t accept (macro)evolution or the beginning of life by natural means because of Genesis could be right but Catholics I suspect, can accept macro evolution or any other way that God might have chosen to create us.

As an atheist, I’d say to the atheist that is arguing this point that they have nothing to do with each other. Any other topic or question that isn’t, “Are you convinced that the supernatural is real?”, is off the topic of the atheist position of that question. If you say no, then you are an atheist. Anything else you want to talk about is not about this question, therefore, has nothing to do with the atheist position.
Being an atheist is to reply to a single question about a single topic. Nothing more.

Simple… the big bang was first proposed by a scientist who just happened to be a Catholic priest.

I believe that God created Adam from the dust of the ground, and he did not share common ancestry with any other species.
Even if evolution happened, it could not happen without the guidance of God, life is too complex.

OP. The Bible is not a science book. The poetic first chapter of Genesis can be sung!

Regardless (and hopefully they read it) they said “well if you believe in evolution thats very anti-God especially the Abrahamic God…”
It helps me to believe the Bible tells us what God did. Science tells us how He did it.
