Nope. That is strange, but that person is not me at all. Lol.

Perhaps the user had the same question and it’s now been answered.
I think I should clear things up. I’m the user who started the thread, so when I said “thanks for answering my question” I meant “thanks for answering the question that prompted me to start this thread”.

Oh, OK. That makes sense then. Sorry for the confusion.

I intuitively sense that although Muhammed was born and lived in pagan culture, and was exposed to Judeo Christianity, he had a sense of detachment and some form of reason, where he was able to draw from our religious background and the deficiencies of his polytheistic culture, to create Islam…with some supernatural help.

I am recalling past posts where he even went into some sort of delirium to reach his insights that he put into the Quran.

As I said, Muhamamd and his forefathers were followers of the Religion of Abraham, referred to as the Hanif religion. They were monotheists not pagans.

Wasn’t Mohammads father Abdullah the keeper of the Kaa’ba where the pagans had their idols stored…???

Apparently it was Muhammad’s Grandfather that was the keeper of Kabba, not his father.

Furthermore, the Kabba was established by Abraham for the worship of God not idols. It was later overrun by the pagans. Muhammad’s grandfather was not the keeper of the idols, he was the keeper of the Kabba whose purpose of establishment was the worship of God.

Yup - got it… I had it wrong. It was the Father of Abdullah who was the keeper of the Kaa’ba.

However - there is no pre islam historical evidence that Abraham build this shrine. It’s only been a muslim claim and has remained such.

The rest of the facts that I provided are Muslims claims too. I was stating the belief about Kabba and the religion of Muhammad’s forefathers before the advent of Islam according to the teachings of Shia Islam. I was not trying to prove using non-Shia sources whether Kaba was or was not built by Abraham.
