I am fully in agreement with the Church’s teachings on in vitro fertilization, stem cell research, and the like. That said, I’m unable to determine what would be an appropriate means of addressing the fact that there are countless embryos stored around the world, I presume.
For example: assume for instance that the US Constitution were amended in such a way that embryonic stem cell research is banned. What would be the appropriate path to take? Is it immoral to implant those embryos in “adoptive” mothers?
Peace,
Dante
