What should I do about clapping and modern architecture?

On holiday, a prist encoraged his congregation to applaud themselves, and other things,(“successful” CHURCH FATE) is this allowed? Also sang happy birthday to one, and lead them in a sort of “fun clap”, it was a very very modern looking church, and he used the gospel- matthew 16 v 13 to 19, to give a very long sermon, in which he said martyr meant messenger, and we are to join the community policing forum?

please advise me what to do…
