I ordered an item for my sister for Christmas online from an official merchandise website of a singer she is a fan of. The item was to come within 6 to 8 working days. I had been waiting nearly 3 weeks so I decided to contact customer service via email. I gave them my order details etc and they decided to send me the item again. A few days after I emailed them the original item came…and a few days after that so did the item they posted to me again. The problem I have is should I send the resent item back as the original then came but then I noticed on the statement they haven’t charged me for the resent item. Unsure of What to do?

Call or email them and ask.

I live rurally and hate Walmart and these sorts of things occur all the time with online orders. In some cases things get sent back, in others they say to keep it and in others, they give a discount and make a new charge.

For instance, my husband just got incorrect light bulbs and they wanted them back. Once we got a replacement remote and it was supposed to be a two pack and we got one–they refunded us and we kept it. One time I bought my toddler PJ’s and they came in the wrong color. They offered us 40% back if we just kept them. In other cases it’s been a mix. We’ve had to re-order things and had that order show up and then the “missing” order come a week later. It’s weird–sometimes they want you to send low-cost things back (like $4 light bulbs) but there was a gift that was upwards of $40 that they told us just to keep.

So, in short, contact them.
