So I went to church and received the Eucharist. After I heade back to my car, I noticed there was a crumb on my cheek. I was unsure whether or not it was my breakfast or the Eucharist to I tried to pick it uo and eat it, but was I picked it up, it fell of my finger and onto my car seat! It got lost within the crumbs in my car seat. What should I do???

Ummm, vacuum out your car if you’ve got so many crumbs you can’t tell one from another?

Now that i realize it your right, lol. Im pretty sure it was to big to be the Eucharist.

My dad does that every month lol, but theres a lot of crumbs in hard to reach places and im afraid the Eucharist went there.

This is absolutely inappropriate. The OP is very likely scrupulous.

You need to see a priest about your scruples and stop asking questions on the internet. If it was on your cheek, it’s highly unlikely that it was the Eucharist. It was mostly likely a piece of skin or something. But really, you need to seek help for scruples and maybe OCD.

You are not in trouble. You need to understand that no one can sin accidentally. Even if it WAS a crumb of Eucharist (which is almost certainly wasn’t) you did not intentionally desecrate it. If, out of love and respect for the Eucharist, you wish to dust bust your car and empty the contents into the rosary garden at your parish, that would be a perfectly pious act, as long as you understand that you did NOT sin accidentally. That isn’t the way God’s love work. He’s not sitting around, waiting for us to unwittingly trip up so he can toss us into internal fire and watch us burn. He’s loves us so that he died on a cross in order to forgive our more egregious, terrible, and fully-intentional sins. You really should see a priest about this as it’s a very serious misunderstanding about the nature of God and your relationship with Him.

The OP is very likely a troll. “I dropped a crumb of the Eucharist” is a very popular topic for trolls. Well, the less-than-creative ones anyway. It’s been done to death.
It is also a very common fear among the scrupulous, of which there are many on CAF.

This reads to me as a genuine scruples rather than an attempt to troll the forum.

I myself am scrupulous, and I know exactly where the OP is coming from.

I mean, I’m not at all scrupulous and even I have had the unfortunate experience of standing in the middle of the choir, singing my heart out on a piece reserved for Eucharistic reflection, and seeing an unidentifiable fragment of something come flying out of my mouth and landing on my neighbor’s hymnal. It’s a very awkward feeling of not knowing what the right thing to do in that moment is. I wasn’t concerned about being sent to hell over it, but more like, “What do I do now?” In my situation, I said a little, “Sorry, Jesus,” prayer and resolved that a choir hymnal is probably just as holy a place as the rosary garden.

@Allegra thank you for your advice! I asked my parents about this already and they said it was just my breakfast lol. I also spoke with them about taking me to see a priest! Also about cleaning my car, would that be required? I tried doing it without a vaccum earlier today and it was basically impossible to get the crumbs from the nooks and crannys!
