:newidea: :newidea: Hi all- new to this catholic living forum, but not to the site…DH and I struggled for months considering leaving the church for supposed greener pastures. After much prayer and consideration, we are staying. The HS has a funny way about creeping up on you ever so silently! Anyway, we’ve been talking with the priest. One of the reasons we were considering leaving is because of lack of good community building. We have actually volunteered to run a small-group (like couples or parents) bible study in our home!!! the bible study at the parish is quite small and quite dry. we’re looking to meet some new people and ramp up our knowledge! What bible study do you suggest? I’ve been told that Little Rock is good, I like the Life After Sunday stuff, and we want to look for the cheapest and best study around. Something that applies to our lives would be great (like parenting, marriage, etc.). thanks-twk

🙂 Glad to see you are staying put. It is always better to be part of the solution than to run away.

For recommendations on various bible studies, visit the resources section of my website linked below.

Don’t know if you’re wanting books or what but our Bible Study which is made up of two small groups (morning & evening) use the New Collegeville Bible Commentary from Liturgical Press.
We are doing 1 & 2 Corinthians now (click on the pic and it’ll take you to the site):
