I was glad to read in Gregg’s memoirs he finally beat his addictions by giving God a chance to prove he was there - by giving him help. Gregg knew he couldn’t beat the problem alone.

Speaking of Duane Allman – I had to listen to some classics tonight. The Allman Bros cover of Statesboro Blues (live at Fillmore East) best highlighted Duane’s incredible slide guitar playing but an old favorite of mine was Duane’s playing on Boz Scaggs cover of Loan Me A Dime.
