We know that a soul, once create, will exist for eternity, concious, even in eternity of hell. The person remain and exist for eternity, then the soul have a permanent activity of soul, thinking, of the will, willing. What they will think??, what activity of soul they have??, because we know that a person in hell remain a person, a soul, and live a concious life.

We know that for eternity they don’t find stability, rationality, fulfill because all of this is in God Only. Will they keep this nonsense of activity of the soul for all eternity, their imagination and false-thoughts that they are gods, they are the center of all, hell is others… The therefore become more evil continually, because soul have permanent activity, thoughts, and others… This is a verry verry sad picture, they will change the mind in a point? Probably not, because the evil become more and more impress in their personality, for eternity… Any thoughts?

When Bishop Barron talks about hell, he frequently includes the rejoinder, “if anyone is there”. I don’t believe anyone is, frankly, and further it is not a “place”, it is a decision to reject friendship with God. I cannot fathom the idea that anyone would continue in this state of mind for eternity, unless they really enjoy it. Nor can I fathom the notion that God would refuse to reconnect with a repentant soul, no matter when or in what state it is in at the time. To accept the traditional view that God would be incapable of forgiveness unless contrition is reached while we are still human, is to place serious limits on His ability to express love and compassion.

Yes, sure, Bishops Barron is against at least some Holy Fathers, but… But if the souls can repent everytime and everywhere, the life-time don’t have any importance… The earthly life have no meaning, everything will be in apokatastasis… No meaning for history itself…

We humans were created with both matter and spirit.
Death is the result of the fall. At the end of time we will be reunited with our bodies and will exist again as humans but perfected. Immortal and able to experience all of GOD’s creation. I doubt we will get bored 😀

I don’t think that is true. We learn a lot while we are here. It is not of no consequence.

Thanks for answer.
But those who not put and fix the will in telos, in meaning, in God, what they will think for all eternity, what existence, properly what activity have these soul for ever.

I imagine it will be full of bitterness, as they spend eternity getting closer and closer to nothing, but never arriving.

Terrifying thing to contemplate. I imagine something like CS Lewis’ Great Divorce.
‘The nearest of those old ones is Napoleon. We know that because two chaps made the journey to see him. They’d started long before I came, of course, but I was there when they came back.’ …
‘But they got there?’
‘That’s right. He’d built himself a huge house all in the Empire style—rows of windows flaming with light….’
‘Did they see Napoleon?’
‘That’s right. They went up and looked through one of the windows. Napoleon was there all right.’
‘What was he doing?’
‘Walking up and down—up and down all the time— left-right, left-right—never stopping for a moment. The two chaps watched him for about a year and he never rested. And muttering to himself all the time. “It was Soult’s fault. It was Ney’s fault. It was Josephine’s fault. It was the fault of the Russians. It was the fault of the English.” Like that all the time. Never stopped for a moment. A little, fat man and he looked kind of tired. But he didn’t seem able to stop it.’
People stuck in endless loops of obsessive thoughts, finally given over to truth of their heart’s desires.

There but for the grace of God, go all of us.
