What to do with nuclear waste?

It’s worth the time to watch the video.
The premise is that those in the nuclear energy business are trying once again to sell nuclear energy as clean and cheap. But it has never been clean or cheap.
Historically, the cost for nuclear energy has not been able to compete with other energy sources.
Then factor in what to do with spent radioactive nuclear waste. No one wants that stuff buried next to where they live.
 
Yes, dealing with the waste is a hidden cost. Not just hidden, but deferred and passed on to our descendants for many generations. That’s a huge cost!
 
But the Nuclear Energy people sell nuclear energy as green, because it does not pollute the air.
It is interesting to note that most nuclear reactors in this country store their radioactive waste on site because they can find no one who will accept the waste.
Over the years, the government has tried to get states like Nevada, New Mexico, and other states to build places to store the radioactive refuse, but people in those states have worked hard to kill those plans.
