I wasn’t sure where this belonged, but it kinda goes here I suppose!

I am not sure how many of you are part of Catholic Facebook groups, but there is one guy on there that… He speaks very, mysteriously is the word, and my Father really loves him, but alot of people on the group think he’s slightly heretical and believes himself to be a prophet and a bit crazy.

What you think of him? I just dont know what to make of it! Is he a mystic or what! Here are some of his postings:

“God bless you, for being about Our Father’s business. Got the right air. Principalities have no power over YOU and I. Thanks be to (You) God. We are constantly praying for you. When we are on our deathbed, let us raise our arm in resistance training, shout a loud praise to You,… Lord, before we go. Let us not succumb, Lord, to the ways of the ennemy. Indeed I tell you. Your Father who is in Heaven is about 21 years old. Principles and principalities. Get healthy, stay healthy. Start now, or like Dionysius, leave us for the enticements of the world.”

“the biggest scandal is a matter of physical and by extrapolation, mental health. Get fit, stay fit or loose the church. Want priests? Want nuns. You will get them or you will not. It’s up to you.”

“What power do I have? none. What authority has been given to me? none. Power and authority are Yours, O God and Yours Alone. Amen”

“In the final analysis. If necessary, You O Lord would be Muslim. Let us not, my dear brothers and sisters, sleep, eat, drink, relax, rest every minute of the day. We have never given you this mesage”

What is bound is bound, Lord, now help me never do these hateful things again and help me to recognize that my own deeds, actions, thoughts, hopes, joys, fears, were all wrong as were my prayers to You, O Lord. St. Paul says: The Penance for some sins is Death. There are many kinds of Death, Lord. I need to die to myself, for instance. Lord, have … See moremercy on me a poor sinner. I don’t think I knew what I was doing in my prejudice, hatred, and forcing, as much as humanly possible others to feel inferior – for no just cause. Amen

I mean, its just random stuff he writes on the wall of the group everyday, its really a bit strange. And he types out a whole rosary prayer (as he says it apparently) and posts it on the group to show he has done a rosary. I dunno.

What ya think? Harmless good guy just doing the Lords work?

  1. This is all out of context so I can’t really speak authoritatively on the subject, but out of context this is my take:
    • That first one denies God’s existence out of the realm of time, denies that He was around at the beginning of creation (making him at least thousands of years old if you’re a creationist, or billions of years old if you’re not!). It also denies Christ who was born about 2000 years ago…He died in His 30s…so you can’t say He is eternally 21…And even if He is as old as the relationship we personally have with Him…that leaves out anyone that’s not 21…
*]And if he’s supposed to be on a Catholic facebook group, why is he saying that the Lord would be Muslim?
*]Who sleeps, eats, drinks, relaxes, rests every minute of the day anyway?
*]Every single one of his deeds, actions, thoughts, hopes, joys, fears, prayers, were wrong? From the CCC:
1773 In the passions, as movements of the sensitive appetite, there is neither moral good nor evil. But insofar as they engage reason and will, there is moral good or evil in them.
Joys and fears in and of themselves cannot be wrong…it is what you do with them…and prayers to the Lord being wrong? I don’t see it…

It seems to me this guy is just trying to confuse people…and confused people are the easiest to make stray from their values, or in the case of a Catholic Facebook group i.e., a place where often young, inchoate persons interact, their Faith.

I can only hope that he is in fact praying the Rosary; if he actually prays it as it was intended to be prayed, he will turn to the Lord for real Truth.

Worthless junk.
Anti-Christian thinking.

This is my honest opinion, and I mean it charitably: The man sounds like he might have mental issues.

I honestly couldn’t make heads or tail of some of things he was trying to say. He does sound like he is honestly, for lack of a better word, “crazy”.

One should ignore his sayings, pray for him, and encourage him to either see that he is in error or, if it is found that he indeed has some mental issues, that he might get some help.

Thanks guys!

If you think its out of context, thats because it is. It is just random posts. Its as if he has a conversation with someone then posts his thoughts on it to God about the conversation. Its totally bizarre and unwelcome. But its hard, because we try be charitable.

What’s worse is my dad defends him, because he thinks he is a highly intelligent very spiritual man who speaks too intelligently for people. My dad is attracted to displays of fancy word order etc, but I want to tell him to be careful of this guy, who is probably harmless but a bit crazy.
