What would someone my age wear to a TLM?

I’m going to my first TLM, and I don’t really know how people dress for that. What would a 17 year old typically wear to a TLM?
 
What you would wear to a job interview for the receptionist at the front desk of a very classy, very professional, very conservative company, where you want to convey an impression of respect for the company, for their customers, for your coworkers and for your self. A modest well fitting dress or suit (with skirt not pants) in a becoming color and fabric, which does not display cleavage or bare shoulders, knee length, with hose and close-toed shoes. Don’t think party clothes, think professional clothes. Of course you are well-groomed, and if you enjoy hats shop for one that enhances the outfit. If you are going with others find out if women wear veils there, but it is not required, and you will probably have to ask them where to buy it.

okay, how about a suit with slacks instead of a skirt (unless you are a Scot who sports the family tartan for formal wear). Principal is the same, however, it used to be if you said standard business dress, that meant something, but that seems to have dried up. I stand by the closed-toe shoes recommendation, however. Since you are 17 it also seems imperative to stress wearing a belt and keeping whatever pants you choose at your natural waistline.

Slacks, a dress shirt (or a polo shirt or a really nice T-shirt if you can’t stand wearing dress shirts), a tie (if you have one), and a jacket (if you have one). Basically, what you should be wearing to *any *Mass.

Probably it will be jacket and tie, but not suits. It depends where you live. In Britain you’ve be a sixth former and probably wear your own jacket to school, so that would be the thing to wear to church.

Don’t know if I’d go in a t-shirt but sweaters are probably ok.
