I am curious as to what makes JP II’s word any more binding than St. Pius V’s words.

If they can change the Mass, they can change anything.

I’m surprised by the number of people who said they’d leave the Church. Does it really offer so little that it would be that easy to leave behind?

Consider though, how unlikely the proposition in question is of actually being enacted.

I wonder if that was said back in the 1960’s in regards to the Mass.

The Church has had different Missals through it’s history, and if you add in the Eastern Catholic Churches, you have proof positive that the Church is not bound doctrinally to a particular missal, but only as a matter of discipline.

Anyone who believed that the Missal could never change was improperly Catechized.

The Church is bound doctrinally to a male only priesthood.

Anyone who believes that can change is improperly Catechized and probably heretical.
