my father got annoyed and said put the volume up while i was playing a DVD for him and i said i havn’t played it. it was on the main menu. then 30 sec after he looked at me with a annoying look and said to me “it too loud put the volum down”.

I said to him “why you acting like that in a angry voice” “what wrong with you” then i said i prob have to go confession now because of the way i spoke to you.

So for speaking to him this was. would you consider this venial sin

Also another one if i am on my fathers back like he get a drink of something and just to annoy him as a joke i said to him did you open that bottle because it says lite on it and he showed annoyence that i said that to him is that venial as well.

You should not be disrespectful to your parents, it is a sin against the 4th commandment. If you know you where speaking to them in a disrespectful way, then yes you should confess it.

I honestly don’t know for sure but as the above poster said, it is a sin against the 4th Commandment. Therefore, you should probably confess it just to be safe. However, because of your doubt as to whether or not it is a mortal sin, you probably did not have full and complete knowledge of the gravity of the sin and so, it may not be a mortal sin. But anyway, I’d confess it just to be safe.

I think that there are very few young people, such as you, who would take the time to even discern whether or not this is a sin. In today’s society we find that family moral values are declining and the lack of respect for authority is on the rise.

That being said, I will advise you the same way that I would advise anyone who is worried about whether or not they committed a sin. Tell a priest in confession the next time you go. My own personal opinion is that you did not sin mortally but no one here knows your heart.

Your biggest issue is learning to have patience even when your dad doesn’t. Let him see Christ in you. If you have bigger issues with your relationship with your dad then talk to a priest and perhaps you might need further counseling. God bless you and keep up the good work.
