I am a 30-year-old woman who has had psychic experiences for nearly half my life. These include hearing or sensing spirits, seeing auras of color and light around people, getting “flashes” of future events and other people’s lives, and seeing a shimmer around the consecrated host. When these things began, I was desparate for answers and turned to the first group that offered them: Wiccans. I have since returned to the Church, but I still experience these flashes often. Am I in danger? Are these abilities a gift from God or a temptation to evil? I can block them if I must, but it can be uncomfortable. Please, I could really use your help.
