What's considered "extraordinary means of maintaining a person's life?

I was wondering what the Church’s position was as to what is considered extrordinary means of maintaining a person’s life and what is deemed acceptable. Is a feeding tube considered extraordinary? What about breathing tubes or I.V’s for fluids only? This is a very confusing issue and I would like to know how to follow church teaching in this matter.
