What's the craziest thing a Roman Catholic has said about your faith?

I’d just like to chime in again and say that I haven’t heard too many crazy things about Paganism coming from Catholics, but Protestants, more specifically those of the Jack Chick variety, with his “every Hallowe’en Pagans gather together and sacrifice infants to Satan” thing.
 
We visited Saint Mary’s in Raleigh, NC. It was a wonderful service. I greatly enjoyed it. The church is on the conservative side, we were told. Men and women sat on opposite sides of the church and there were head coverings for the women. My wife put one on and a young woman came and sat beside her to help her with the service. She asked my wife why she had the head covering, since neither she nor her mother used one. I believe they came from Chicago. I found everyone very hospitable. I had called the priest earlier in the week to discuss coming with him and he remembered me and my phone call. I am glad to hear that there is a Coptic church in the Roanoke area and will have to plan to visit it.

I did not mind the accent of the priest, but then I am multilingual, so it makes it easier for me. I was glad I called ahead and the priest prepared me for the service. It was challenging to follow along in the missal, but they had a sign board that listed the page numbers. It was thrilling to attend a service so close to the early church.
 
Are there any Catholics here brave enough to post thoughts or comebacks they wish they had said to anti-Catholics?

Isn’t this a thread about the craziest things that Catholics have said to people of other religons and denominations?
 
I actually hear much crazier things about Catholics than by Catholics. The pagan thing is one that gets to me. As I told a friend who was expounding on that position, I told him that I could not believe in a God who could not take something out of some blue-painted pagan’s hands and give it to His children to use.
 
Craziest thing I have heard is a Orthodox labling all Catholics in the Catholic Church as Roman Catholics. Last time I checked it was the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church and not the One, Holy, Roman Catholic Apostolic Church. I wonder if anyone realizes there are 7 rites in the Catholic Church? :hmmm: Although I could be wrong about my orthodox brother/sister since they could have meant: :What’s the craziest thing a Latin Rite Catholic has said about your faith?😉

The second craziest thing have heard is a Latin Rite Catholic making this same mistake!:eek:
 
Again the Thread is supposed to be about the craziest things you have heard a RCC person say about another denomination or faith. Not another anti catholic thread.

Not really since the title is: What’s the craziest thing a Roman Catholic has said about your faith? Therefore it is completely legitimate for a Catholic to come on here and post the craziest thing they have heard their fellow Catholic brothers/sisters say regarding their faith.

I actually thought I implied that in the OP. Alix is correct in his understanding of what I meant. Sorry for the confusion.

Technically you have to have two people claiming to be Pope to accuse one of being the anti Pope…So if your sedevacantist (what is that anyway) thinks Benedict is the Anti Pope, then who does he think is really Pope?

the sedevacantists believe that there is no Pope.

the word breaks up into sede(a form of sitting, in the case the seat of the pope) and vacant(as in vancant). they believe this because they believe that the words of ordination were changed, which means there are no validly ordained bishops and so on, which means that there is no Pope.
