What's the difference in missil?

Hello , I was wondering what’s the difference between the sunday missil , the weekday missil amd other versions of the missil etc ? Also what has it got in them with the difference between them ?

It sounds like what you are talking about are hand missals for laymen in the pews to use as they follow along with the priest. If that is the case, then it is very simple: Sunday missals contain only the prayers and readings one would hear or say at Sunday Masses, while Weekday missals have the readings and prayers for Monday-Saturday Masses (excluding Vigil Masses on Saturday).

If you attend a parish that offers the Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form), then a “daily” missal would refer to a Sunday and Weekday missal. A Sunday Missal would refer to only those readings and prayers for Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.

Assuming that you are referring to the EF (Latin Mass), a Sunday missal would contain all of the propers for the year for Sundays only, as well as the form of the Mass to follow along with. The missals usually also have various prayers. A weekday missal would have propers only for weekdays, and it also would have the form of the Mass, too (though I’ve not heard of a weekday-only missal, but they do probably exist).

And then there’s a missal, which tends to be more expensive, which has both weekday and Sunday propers. But if you are attending the EF, most parishes have the little red missal booklets, published by Ecclesia Dei, which, IMO, are easier to follow along with, but they don’t have any propers. Sometimes the parish will have printed handout copies of the daily propers to borrow at Mass to use with the red missals.
