What's the most holy place for Catholics?

Hi, I was just wondering, what’s the holiest place for Catholics? Is it Rome? Jerusalem? Bethlehem?

If you’re talking about actual lands, I would probably think Golgotha, Bethlehem, and the places where Christ walked. Rome, as the site of the martyrdoms of Peter and Paul and many, many other Christians, as well as the bishopric of the chief pastor, and as the church praised for their faith which was known over the whole world in Scripture, would be the second, imho.

I would go with heaven also.

As for here on earth, for me it is a church when it is empty. I can sit or kneel in the presence of our Lord, before the tabernacle and/or the altar and pray, meditate, listen to the noises of the empty space, the distant sounds of “the outside”.

I especially like older spaces for this.

I’ve never been to the Holy Land, so can’t speak to that. But I HAVE made several trips to Rome and WOW! It is amazing. The Vatican and St. Peter’s is awesome. I had my baby blessed in the Sistine Chapel by a priest. The sheer size of the place is unbelievable. I went to Easter Mass with JPII - fantastic!
