Some of us have been exchanging thoughs, dreams, hopes and prayers for a while here. How great it is to have so many brothers and sisters who share the same faith!!

Feel free to share your age, state of life (i.e. married. single, consecrated life or lay consecrate, other) and goals in life… I guess it will be a interesting way to introduce ourselves.

I’ll start: I’m 36, lay consecrated, cradle Catholic. Had a turning point in my life in my teen years when I came to know the Lord. My goal is to do His will (not easy though but worth the effort!) and to lead more and more people to Him through evangelization.

I’m 18, discerning religious life, cradle Catholic. I had a turning point about three years ago while our internet was out for the summer (we lived in the country). I was so bored, so I decided to read some of the Catholic books my mom kept in her room. I read about purgatory, hell, and some of the lives of the saints and martyrs. That was enough to get me thinking about where my life was going. The thought of religious life has faded in and out throughout the time and has finally now stuck.

51, married, Catholic for 8 years, business owner, have raised two successful children. My goal is to serve my customers for 14 more years, and my church as long as I am able. My wife and I are discussing where to retire. Assisi keeps coming up in that discussion.

Oh sorry… I just read it but it says not to put private email, addresses, try not to use real name… but didn’t find anything about life goals, state of life or age… Anyway, I don’t think this will be a problem. Perhaps a moderator may help us out.
God bless!

How about rewording this. We could reword the title, and reflect that.

Just needs to be a bit less personal. Or a broader question. It’s a great topic

I think perhaps it may just be more personal than many want to share. I like reading those who do wish to share, however.

Well, I honestly dont think it goes against the rules as far as what I have read… Lets keep the title until a moderator suggests otherwise. Everyone is free to answer according to their conscience.
God bless you guys!

I like your Little Prince Avatar.

Well, I’m older than most people might guess.
(Here at CAF, as well as, out and about)

Single, but still discerning.

Main goal: trying to get to know God better, love Him more and serve Him with greater single-mindedness.

I am pondering doing volunteer work abroad or possibly exploing religious life. ( But a pretty woman passing by rarely goes unnoticed by me either.)

I am married and my goal is to carry on recovering from years of dented confidence for myriad reasons. First and foremost is entry into full communion with the church. Then we shall see what service God calls me into over and above my immediate family.

Let’s see. I’m in my early twenties and am studying for my history degree with a minor in education at the local university. Yes, I’m a complete nerd. Goals…well, getting to Heaven. And being a better person (full-time job there. Sheesh). Discerning priesthood, although I wouldn’t mind teaching history at the college level. That would be super fun.
I might be a monk…well, maybe not. But monks are cool. Maybe a monk…
I have lots of goals to be honest. Being a better piano player, visiting Rome, visiting England, visiting Ireland, getting my bass voice back since I have apparently become a baritone again, actually understanding Aristotle, getting un-addicted to my phone, write a bestselling book and retiring to a small house in the middle of nowhere…
I might have to stick with just getting to Heaven.
