The most ignored teachings are any teachings that Jesus did concerning going to Hell!
No one wants to think that Hell REALLY exists–that it is the most painful and hopeless place of punishment that lasts forever and ever. Can you imagine not being able to stop screaming?
Can you imagine being with Satan and the evil demons forever–forever being tortured by them?
Can you imagine burning forever in darkness and always smelling foul odors while hearing the hopeless souls in Hell always cursing each other?
Can you imagine the certainty of NO LOVE and NO HOPE forever and ever and always being tortured by knowing that you went their all by yourself after God tried many times to bring you to Himself?
One of the reasons we have the Hell that we have on Earth is that many and more every day don’t believe in Hell!
Many don’t believe that they ever commit mortal sins–they discipline their children a million times and recognize their children’s mortal sins–but never their own mortal sins.
I fear Hell everyday. That is a good thing!
The Catholic Church teaches the reality of Hell and the reality of going there if you commit a mortal sin and die in a state of mortal sin without repentance!
Do you want to evangelize and bring people to the Catholic Church? Speak to them of the truth of hell AND the Divine Mercy and perfect love of Jesus.
Conversion happens best when it is not based on one side of the truth but on all sides of the truth!
