My Parish website is woefully incomplete and outdated. For all intents and purposes we do not have a website. For a while now I have been thinking about taking responsibility of the website but all my other activities have held me back from taking this on (see my profile).
Well, I finally can’t stand seeing out stagnant website anymore and am going to take it on regardless of all my other parish activities (I just hope this isn’t the straw that breaks my back).
But I need ideas. If your parish has a website that it actually uses and maintains, would you mind sharing it with me? I need some ideas on how it should be laid out/formatted, content, navigation, etc.
I’m actually really good at web development (I write enterprise class web applications as part of my job), but not so good at the creative portion. I’m good at taking someone elses ideas and turning it into a reality.
Here’s our current website by the way, bleegh: nativitybvm.com (notice in the events section it mentions something from March of 2003? That’s how long it’s been since the site’s been updated)
