Hi everybody:
I just heard a “radtrad” family member has been diagonised with mestatic cancer. Not being a Cathoic (recovering), I’m not sure what to do. Family member is devout. Recently joined as a lay member for some religious order. It’s all very confusing. I guess as a devout Catholic, he is in good hands with his Catholic prayer people… Sort of hard to deal with. What do you people do?

Mike,

I understand your dilemma, when I am in situations like this I try to offer what I can, genuinely from me. I assume the person knows you aren’t into your faith as he is his, don’t fake it. Talk or walk with the person, visit them, send a card or a letter, anything is better than nothing. Love the person, let them know how special they are to you and how you will be at their side through the fight. If you are a prayerful man pray for them, ask Jesus to heal them and take away the pain. Although we are Catholic we are human first.
Code:
 Peace,
David
