When the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were terrified. “It is a ghost,” they said, and they cried out in fear. At once Jesus spoke to them, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”
Each and everyone of us has faced and continues to experience all kinds of adversities in this life. We all go through the dark nights of the soul and of the senses in various stages of our existence. No one is immune from trials and tribulations which can cause us to be anxious and be afraid just thinking of the prospects of having to undergo them.
