When annulments go bad?

So I’m sure that priests are VERY familiar with what they need to do.

Indeed, one would think so. Yet the advice they got from one priest was something to the effect of “just go to another parish, and don’t tell them that you’ve been divorced”. I’ll suggest to them that they talk to somebody else about the possibility of getting an annulment.
