When do eastern monks fast? Of what does the fast consist (e.g. number of meals, types of food, etc.)? Are the practice different from eastern orthodox to catholic monks?
Not so much vegetables, but “sea bugs” for the lobster & shrimp–in the first and second centuries, only the poorest of the poor had to eat such horrors . . .
Keep in mind that the flip side is that fish is meat . . .
