When do we become one with Jesus?

My daughter attends Catholic school. She is in 6th grade. She asked me “When do we become one with Jesus?” She left her text book at school and the assignment is due tomorrow. But I realized, I really don’t know the answer. Can anyone answer this? I thought it would be a good thread because we can explain our answers.

I hope no one considers this cheating on her homework. She is a very good student and just wants to make sure she turns in a complete and accurate report.

We become one with Jesus and with one another when we join the Church through baptism, when the spirit of Christ comes to dwell in us. This unity is strengthened and manifested in a special way when we receive Christ in the Eucharist.
