When does Lent actually end?

Holy Week is upon us but has Lent actually ended? I mean the fasting? Have we completed our vows of fasting and abstinence?

Good Friday is the last day of abstinence and also a Fast day.

For Lent? Yes. Lent ends in the afternoon of Holy Thursday. We do have a day of Fast and Abstinence during the Holy Triduum on Good Friday.

I has been my understanding that Lent ends at the beginning of the Easter Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday night.

Apparently other people here have heard differently.

In looking for an authoritative source I found one that said sunrise on Easter morning. Yet another said midnight of Holy Saturday/Easter Sunday.

I do not have an authoritative source on this. Can someone else help?

Just for clarification purposes, inasmuch as Bro Rich is correct, this is what Paschale Solemnitatis:

The lenten season lasts until the Thursday of this week. The Easter Triduum begins with the evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper, is continued through Good Friday with the celebration of the passion of the Lord and Holy Saturday, to reach its summit in the Easter Vigil, and concludes with Vespers of Easter Sunday.

The only reason why I put this in the post is because someone, somehow, will ask for documented proof.

Okay. So the Triduum is a separate period of time in the Liturgical Calendar. That makes sense to me! Thank you!
