When does the seal of confession kick in?

Having been in that situation, I gave the person absolution and encouraged them to talk to me after about it (explaining why this was necessary) so I could help them and, thankfully, they did.

I was going to ask, how God would give a priest the power to absolve sin but tie their hands with rules that would prevent a priest from doing everything possible to save the life of one of His children before they committed a sin that would take them away from Him for eternity. That made no sense, glad to hear there are some priest out in the world who wouldn’t just send the child away.

She’s still not open to therapy, but she’s doing okay right now.

Watch out, it´s often times when they get “better” that they´re truly struggling and especially in risk of harming themselves.
