My parish has confessions on Saturday from 4:00 until the end of the Gospel at the 5:00 anticipated Mass, on Sunday before all Masses up until the Gospel and on Friday from 3:30-5:00.

We also have confession in the morning and evening during the last week of Advent (after December 17) and Holy Week.

We have a new pastor and he emphasises the sacrament of penance, as did our previous pastor.

3 to 4pm on Saturdays

1 hr following the Saturday evening Mass

30 minutes before each weekday afternoon Mass Mon thru Fri.

Every Saturday prior to Vigil Mass; also First Friday evenings. We also have communal services (WITH individual confessions) during Advent and Lent.

3:45-4:30 every Saturday afternoon. (They have extra times however during Advent and Lent.) I wish they would add an extra time though 'cause I’m usually at work then. Also you’d think they’d have more just because my church is the largest Catholic church in the tri city area I’m in…we have over 2,000 parishoners…and one priest available for 45 minutes once a week. They probably would take appointments, though, if you could get through the parish office staff, lol.

I voted other. We have confession Monday through Friday 6:45-8 am, and 11:45 am until finished. We also have it on Saturdays at 4pm and 7pm. There are also confessions at 4pm and 7pm before First Fridays and First Saturdays.

And if none of those times work for you (general), there’s always ‘by appointment’.

I checked “other”. The parish I attend has 3 priest in residence. Confessions are “scheduled” for 3:30 pm on Saturdays for a half hour, if nothing else is going on in the church. Even if there is nothing going on, there is only a 50/50 chance that a priest will show up. The Pastor is really pushing for “By appointment only” … so sad … :crying:

😦 The parish I just left had confession by appointment only. Previously is was for one hour one Saturday a month. It was whittled down to appointment only. Good luck getting an appointment.

Yep, I left that parish shortly after a one on one with the priest. He didn’t believe in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

  1. Aren’t you supposed to have the option of an anonymous confession? How do you do that if you can only do it by appointment?
  2. Wow, our priest puts a plug in for confession at just about every mass. He even expanded the times recently.
