I’ve been effective and ineffective in my efforts to evangelize but one thing that has often worked for me is to quote scriptures that are related to topics of their interest or circumstances in their life and never tell them it came from the bible.’
I remember one time I said, “No one takes a lamp and puts it under a lamp stand.”(In regards to her hiding her beauty and talents). She asked, “Where do you come up with this stuff?” So, I told her.
I find that because there so much negativity and prejudice towards Christians, people don’t have walls up, ready to reject, when I deliver the message.
Scripture is the living Word and has so much power without telling people where it came from. I just hope that someday, through the grace of God, they find out where it came from. I call it “Planting Seeds.”
