When I'm looking for something, why is it always in the last place I look?

I appreciate your reply, but, it doesn’t answer the question. BTW, I usually DO stop looking after I find what I’m looking for.

( :smile:The great thing is that in the end, you do find it!)

Is the question more along the line of why do I put things in unusual or obscure places? BTW, that was a joke.

There’s a black hole in my home.
Really.
I put things down and then they’re not there anymore when I go to find them.

Maybe it’s actually a wormhole because I find it in a different place.

Because usually when we look for something, we wind up looking in more than one place. And we do stop when we find what we seek.

So: You lose something. You look in the first logical place, not there. Check another, not there. Check the third, OK here it is. “It’s in the last place I looked”.

You lose something. Look in one place, there it is. “It’s in the last place I looked”.

No matter what, it is going to be ‘in the last place you look’.

Every now and then, the first place you look will have your lost object, but it will still also be ‘in the last place you look’.

I think St. Anthony hides them, and then reveals them after we pray.

Well, obviously we do find things in the last place we look (assuming we find them at all.) 🙃

What is actually disturbing is that often the the last place I look and find something is actually the very first place I looked, but didn’t find it! 🤨

I think Beryllos is on to something. St. Anthony sometimes wants us to pray. 😆
