I read a pamphlet that said that NFP is only allowed to Catholics when there are serious reasons for spacing children. Can someone help me understand what this means? When is it okay to use NFP?
NFP is not only about spacing children. It is also used to achieve pregnancy. Talk with your priest about the “spacing children issue”. Every couple and their situation is unique. God Bless and I’ll pray for you.
You will not find a concrete answer to that question, my guess is because what is serrious for one couple is not for another. A lot of opinions, some from priest, many from laity, but when it gets right down to it only you, your spouse, your priest and God have much say. Talk to your spouse and pray, talk to your priest to get an outside opinion, and pray.
