When is someone willing to take advice?

How do you know when someone is willing to take your advice seriously, because if one wants to warn someone against practicing anything bad, then one needs their serious attention yet this is hard to get; mostly warning people about stuff leads to discord and the other person persisting in badness even more.

Should I warn anyway? What is the sign that they are willing to listen?

(By the way, this is from a different thread. If me posting this is somehow illicit then sorry).
 
All you can do is put the advice out there - clearly and lovingly. After that…🤷
