When is spilling one's seed not a sin?

Example:

Man and wife having sex, wife feels a pain just as man is about to “fire”, has to pull out due to wifes pain and “fires” outside of wife without touching with hands due to being passed the point he could stop.

Any action that is involuntary, not willed, is not cooperating with a sinful action.

Consult the CCC1859 and that section around it, and get to know what it is about.

I had thought that if one had to in order to give a semen sample for medical reasons (fertility check-up, etc) that it would not be a sin, but some people think otherwise.

Sins are those things which are intentionally done. Pulling out because its becoming physically unbearable for the woman is not a sin even if it means unintentionally “spilling his seed” elsewhere. I was hung up on this too for awhile, but ultimately we need to consider that morality is more than a set of arbitary rules and that it is truly about loving the other person. How can it be loving to continually hurt them for the sake of it occuring where it should?

This seems correct -

it would go to the three requirements for a mortal sin:

object: spilling seed (put in nice terms - thank you)

intention: no intent to do so

circumstances: act stopped in order to stop hurting wife.

It does seem as the three requirements for mortal sin have not been met.
