As I understand it, the Liturgy of the Hours got a new translation. The Bishops voted on it last year. When is it due out?

Am I right in guessing that the new translation would include the new responses to “The Lord be with you” and things like that?

Hard to say. Probably not real soon.
There are still some elements of the Mass that are still being worked on.

Much of the “heavy lifting” of a new LOTH translation is already done (Revised Grail Psalms and Collects for the Sanctoral cycle and special seasons).

However, yet to be done would be the intercessions, collects for the 4 week psalter, repsonsories, antiphons, and potentially the dialogue parts. I suppose there is also the potential for the Gospel canticles to be retranslated.

I read in the minutes from a US Bishops’ conference a couple of years ago that the new translation was years away but that the response, “And with your spirit” could be used immediately. Also, the newly translated collects for the Mass could be used as closing prayers for the Liturgy of the Hours.
